Elena + Spencer's wedding day was nothing short of magical. Elena is a close friend of mine so to have the chance to document such a special moment for her will forever be an honor. My wife Gillian and I were looking forward to Elena + Spencer's wedding because this would also be our first time visiting her since she had moved to Mobile, AL from Seattle. We all fell in love with the area and especially the tacos at Nova Espresso. In the days leading up to the wedding, the forecast showed nothing but storms and massive amounts of rain. Every day I would anxiously check the weather hoping to see a change in the percentage chance of rain; but it held steady in the 90%+ range. With storm clouds looming, we braced ourselves for the worst. The back up plan was to cram everyone inside the mansion which would have been less than ideal shooting conditions to say the least.
As fate would have it, luck was on our side. The rain held off just long enough for the ceremony to take place, and as soon as Elena + Spencer said their "I do's," the rain came pouring down. As the party moved inside the Bragg-Mitchell Mansion our phones suddenly exploded with tornado warnings. Yet, even in the midst of this chaos, there was a sense of calm and joy that filled the air - the newlyweds were married, and that was all that mattered.
