Gabby + David
It’s always an honor to photograph another photographer’s wedding, and I was so pumped when David reached out about capturing his and Gabby’s intimate celebration in Joshua Tree. This national park is one of my favorite places to shoot, so any excuse to get out there is a win. October usually brings cooler weather, but we hit an unexpected heat wave—106-degree temps made for a pretty intense day. That said, Gabby, David, and their families handled it like champs—you’d never guess from these photos just how hot it really was.
Gabby and David got ready at a beautifully designed Airbnb, where they shared a sweet first look before we took some portraits. From there, we headed into the park with their closest family and friends. They had already scouted the perfect ceremony spot, which made everything flow seamlessly. After a heartfelt ceremony, we spent the last hour of daylight capturing portraits against Joshua Tree’s iconic desert landscape. The evening wrapped up with an intimate dinner back at the Airbnb, complete with a private chef.
It was such an incredible day to be a part of, and I can’t thank Gabby and David enough for trusting me to document it.
