Jordan + Jacques’ wedding weekend on San Juan Island was nothing short of amazing! I love photographing multi-day weddings because they give couples and their guests the chance to fully immerse themselves in the celebration, creating memories that go beyond the wedding day itself.

San Juan Island, especially Roche Harbor, holds a special place in Jordan’s heart. In addition to having grown up working in the harbor, her parents were married at Roche 20+ years ago, making it the perfect location for her and Jacques’ wedding. The island's charm, with its historic buildings, quaint harbor, and stunning natural beauty, provided a picturesque backdrop for the entire weekend.

One of the highlights of the weekend was when a small group set sail on Jordan’s family boat to explore the surrounding waters. The San Juan Islands are known for their breathtaking views and abundant marine life, and we were lucky enough to spot a couple of whales in the distance. It was an unforgettable experience, filled with lots of laughter and excitement as everyone enjoyed the beautiful scenery and each other’s company.

As we sailed, we were treated to stunning views of Mt. Baker, which only added to the beauty of the day. The weekend was full of moments like this, where the joy and anticipation of the upcoming wedding were palpable. It was an absolute joy to capture all the love, laughter, and breathtaking scenery that made Jordan + Jacque’s wedding weekend so special.

Wedding Day! Jordan + Jacques’ big day started at Jordan’s parents’ beautiful home, which boasts stunning views overlooking Roche Harbor. The house, with its cozy charm and familiar surroundings, was the perfect place for the wedding party and families to relax and enjoy the morning together before heading over to Roche Harbor for the ceremony.

The ceremony itself was a joyous occasion, filled with love and laughter. Guests were treated to a unique cocktail hour featuring an espresso martini tower, which was a big hit, followed by an array of delicious food and lively conversation. The atmosphere was electric, with everyone soaking in the beautiful surroundings and celebrating Jordan + Jacques’ love.

As the day transitioned into evening, we made our way down to the docks during the colors ceremony for some breathtaking sunset photos. The colors ceremony, a tradition at Roche Harbor where the flags are lowered at sunset, added a special touch to the evening. The soft, golden light of the setting sun provided the perfect backdrop to capture some final, intimate moments of the couple before the festivities continued.

Jordan + Jacques then hit the dance floor, where the celebration carried on into the night. It was such a fun day, and I can’t thank them enough for allowing me to document their special day at such a meaningful and beautiful place.
